Abstract

Direct tension indicators have been in use for several years and a brief refresher on their application would be useful to those who may be unfamiliar with them. This is the start of our seventh year and I truly believe that our readers need to become more enthusiastic about writing short articles relating “real world” experiences to their colleagues. Our continued success depends on long-term reader interest in the information published. We need letters and articles from our readers to maintain this flow of interest. Remember that only one positive review from an editorial board member is necessary for publication. Please send Structural Design Forum articles directly to me at the address above to ensure consideration for our next issue.
