Abstract

This paper presents the results of the tests executed at the Water Engineering Laboratory (WEL) of the University of Perugia for evaluating the performance of cast iron pipes with the cement mortar coating refined by a lapping process. The implications of the achievement of smooth pipe behavior with regard to the carrying capacity of new pipes are discussed.
