The International Conference on Pipelines and Trenchless Technology 2011 was held on October 26–29, 2011, at the China National Convention Center in Beijing, China. The conference was cosponsored by the Pipeline Division (ASCE), China–U.S. Joint Center for Trenchless Research and Development at China University of Geosciences, Center for Underground Infrastructure Research and Education at the University of Texas at Arlington, Soil & Rock Drilling and Protecting Engineering Research Center of China Ministry of Education, and Wuhan Deawon Trenchless Technology Company.
The conference received 635 abstract submissions; of these, 291 excellent papers were finally accepted and presented at the conference. A total of 272 papers were published in the proceedings and 19 best papers were selected and recommended to the Journal of Pipeline Systems Engineering and Practice. Eventually, 16 papers were accepted and 10 papers were published in the February 2013 issue of the Journal, and the rest are published in this issue.
