Eqs. (32)–(34) should appear as follows:
(LeLs)0.687=0.198+7.219·(qg·H3)0.53.983·keqg·H
(32)
hslH=yLeH+0.301·(xZ·H)0.5+2.428qg·H30.435keqg·H
(33)
hslH=(0.198+7.219·(qg·H3)0.53.983·keqg·H)1/0.687+0.301·(xZ·H)0.5+2.428·qg·H30.435·keqg·H

General Discussion and Practical Implications

Variable keq is the equivalent Darcy’s coefficient of permeability (L·T1), g is the acceleration of gravity (L·T2), and H is the height of the dam (L). By mistake, the correspondent β coefficients of Eqs. (32) and (33) were calibrated using keq in cm·s1 instead of m·s1. So, to maintain keq* dimensionless, the corresponding coefficients should be multiplied by a factor of 100.
Regarding the practical implications of this error, Fig. 13(b) is still correct because estimations using Eq. (32) were obtained using keq in cm·s1 along with the original β coefficient. Regarding the discussion of the results in section “Assessment of the Emergence Point in the Hell Hole Dam,” in the first paragraph Le*=0.358 (not 0.436) and yLe=24.0  m (not 29.2  m). In the second paragraph of the same section, the difference in calculating yLe entering Z=1.3 instead of Z=3.0 in the formula of keq [Eq. (25)] is 2.369  m (instead of 0.026  m).
