In Situ Pullout Resistance of Dynamically Driven Nails

Publication: Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering
Volume 138, Issue 8

Abstract

Experimental results concerning the in situ pullout resistance of dynamically driven nails are presented. These results show that the actual pullout resistance is much higher than that predicted by the classical approach. A dimensional analysis approach is proposed to find a formula describing the actual performance of such nails.
