Transfer of Journal Editorship to Norbert Delatte

Publication: Journal of Performance of Constructed Facilities
Volume 30, Issue 5
It is with great pleasure that I announce the transfer of editorship of this Journal to my good friend and colleague, Norbert J. Delatte, Ph.D., P.E., F.ASCE. I am absolutely certain that the Journal will continue to prosper under his leadership. I plan to continue as an Associate Editor during the transition. My remaining responsibilities are to complete the review process for all manuscripts submitted before May 1, 2016, and to complete three Special Collection projects currently underway.
The Journal has been a large part of my life since 1984, when I began writing the proposal document. Two years later, after assembling the first interdisciplinary editorial board and defining the Journal’s scope, I was named founding editor and began soliciting manuscripts. Serving as Chief Editor for the past 30 years has been the highlight of my professional career. As I look forward to retirement, I owe a great debt of thanks to all the authors and reviewers who have made a success of this endeavor. Special gratitude goes to the ASCE Journals Department staff for much needed guidance through the dramatic changes to publications policies occurring during the past three decades, both within ASCE and in the publications industry in general.
As a direct result of my involvement with this Journal, I have established friendships throughout the world. These friendships will continue. I thank you all for your kindness and your support. I know you will provide the same level of support to your new Chief Editor, Norbert Delatte.
