Editor’s Note

Dr. Tamer El Maaddawy, of United Arab Emirates University in Al-Ain, has been appointed to a 2-year renewable position on the International Editorial Board of the Journal of Composites for Construction. Dr. El Maaddawy is an associate professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He has published extensively on the use of fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites for the rehabilitation of reinforced and prestressed concrete structures. Dr. El Maaddawy obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario.

Two colleagues are rotating off the Editorial Board. Professor Atsuhiko Machida of Saitama University, Japan, and Professor Charles Dolan of the University of Wyoming, have served since the founding of the journal in 1997. I thank Dr. Machida and Dr. Dolan for their many years of excellent service to the journal.
