Proper Presentation of Flow-Speed-Density Plots of Large Data Sets

Abstract

Flow-speed-density plots are widely used by transportation professionals. The traditional presentation of these plots can be misleading, especially when large data sets are used. An improved presentation is suggested and its advantages are discussed.
