Surveying Engineering Education for the 21st Century

Abstract

Following a brief history of surveying education in the United States, and the current ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) requirements and curricula, the paper predicts the role of the surveying engineer in the beginning of the 21st century and from that suggests BSE curricula and educational models at the BS, MS, and PhD levels.
