Errata for “Structural Response and Reliability Estimates: Slepian Model Approach” by J. W. van de Lindt and J. M. Niedzwecki

The following correction should be noted:

On page 1621 in the left column, the second full sentence under Eq. (3) should read:

“Since the underlying process is a Gaussian process, the derivatives at level crossing are Rayleigh distributed.”

It is not the derivative process that is Rayleigh distributed but rather the collection of derivatives at a level crossing that are Rayleigh. Please note that this does not change anything else throughout the paper related to the derivation or application.
