The acknowledgements sections of these papers were inadvertently omitted. The authors wish to acknowledge the AISC-SSRC Ad Hoc Committee on Frame Stability (Joseph Yura, University of Texas, Austin and Greg Deierlein, Stanford University co-chairs) and AISC Task Committee 10 (Shankar Nair, Chair and Greg Deierlein, Vice-Chair; Joseph Yura, University of Texas, Austin, Past-Chair and Richard Henige, LeMessurier Associates, Cambridge, Mass., Past-Vice-Chair) for key interactions and beneficial input during the course of their research. These papers discuss a critical flaw within the ASCE (1997) Notional Load Approach that is corrected within the proposed modified elastic analysis-design procedure. This critical flaw was discovered by the AISC-SSRC Ad Hoc Committee during the development of the related direct analysis method of the AISC (2005) Specification.
