Stochastic Model For Productivity Estimating
Publication: Journal of Geotechnical Engineering
Volume 112, Issue 5
Abstract
A stochastic model, which concerns the functional relationship between the parameters of the soil and the parameters of the machines used, is presented. The problem of similarity between the variables of the soil‐machine system is examined on the basis of experimental results, correlation analysis, the method of least square estimation, and a special computational program. The stochastic model that gives the solution to the problem is an ellipsoid characteristic of the soil‐machine system, based on the statistical theory of “analysis of variance” and it is valid for every case.
