Simulation of Dynamic Liquid Pressure for Tuned Liquid Damper

Publication: Journal of Engineering Mechanics
Volume 126, Issue 12

Abstract

In this paper, the Navier-Stokes equation of fluid, which is incompressible, viscous, changeful, and free surface, is solved by the method of volume of fluid to obtain the dynamic liquid pressure in a rectangular container. The simplified simulating calculation formulas are given in order to apply the method in engineering on the basis of calculation results and analysis.
