Heat Transfer in Hydromagnetic Couette Flow of Compressible Newtonian Fluid

Publication: Journal of Engineering Mechanics
Volume 121, Issue 1

Abstract

Heat transfer in the hydromagnetic flow of a compressible Newtonian fluid, between a moving impermeable plate and a stationary naturally permeable bed, is investigated in the presence of a transverse magnetic field. The effects of the permeability and magnetic field on the velocity and temperature field are commented on, taking the viscous heating and Ohmic dissipation into consideration.
