Structural Analysis by Distinct Element Method
Publication: Journal of Engineering Mechanics
Volume 117, Issue 9
Abstract
The distinct element method is applied for the load-deflection analysis of structures. Forces and displacements predicted by the distinct element method are compared with those predicted by the finite element analysis procedure. The results are shown to agree very well.
