Model for Storm Sewer Discharge. II: Calibration and Verification
Publication: Journal of Environmental Engineering
Volume 124, Issue 7
Abstract
This paper presents the results of calibration and verification of mathematical models for calculating hydrographs and pollutographs of urban stormwater. Calibration of model parameters is based on results obtained from field studies for the mixed industrial and residential catchment with the surface area of 300 ha. The relative error was calculated by comparing the model predictions with the field study results. The sensitivity of the model to changes in particular parameters was studied and some of the model parameters were found to decisively affect the final modeling results. The possibility of using the model for other catchments, with different optimal parameter values, was tested.
