The ASCE-ASME Journal of Risk and Uncertainty in Engineering Systems in its two parts announces to its readers a new initiative to bring onboard young members to its editorial board. The ECEB program gives members an opportunity to participate on an editorial board under the mentorship of the journal leadership.

At the end of their term with the ECEB, participants will have familiarity with selecting reviewers, resolving differences of opinion among reviewers, recommending editorial decisions, and promoting a journal.

Promote highlighted content such as in the case of Part A Editor’s Choice papers, ASCE SmartBrief articles selected from the Journal, award-winning papers, special collections, conference collections, top-downloaded papers, etc.

Interested candidates should submit a resume that includes name, affiliation, detailed summary of qualifications, areas of expertise, and list of publications. The entire application should be a single pdf file and sent by email to the Editor in Chief at [email protected]. Applications will be reviewed by an ad hoc committee from the journal leadership. Applicants will be informed about a decision within 6 weeks of their application.
Once selected, ECEBs for Part A: Civil Engineering will be listed on the journal masthead and in the editorial board membership of the Journal at https://ascelibrary.org/page/ajrua6/editorialboard.
