Permissible Velocity Correction Factors
Publication: Journal of Hydraulic Engineering
Volume 109, Issue 2
Abstract
A theoretical expression for permissible velocity correction factor used in open channel hydraulics is derived. The concept of critical unit tractive force is employed in the theoretical derivation. The theoretical relation is compared with an empirical curve currently in use. The agreement is found to be good.
