Radar Rain Forecasting for Wastewater Control
Publication: Journal of Hydraulic Engineering
Volume 109, Issue 2
Abstract
To assess the likely impact of rain amount forecasting on the operation of the City of Montreal's combined stormwater and sewage wastewater disposal system, studies have been conducted to test the accuracy with which rain amounts over the city can be forecast a few hours ahead. At coarse resolution, errors were of the order of 68% at 1 hr lead time. Procedures for the studies are given.
