Special Collection on Advances in Hydraulic Structures Engineering

Guest Editors:
Daniel B. Bung, Ph.D., FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences
Sebastien Erpicum, Ph.D., University of Liege
Blake P. Tullis, Ph.D., Utah State University

This special collection focuses on hydraulic structures engineering, and highlights recent advances in the field. It covers a wide range of topics spanning from theoretical and modeling aspects (numerical and physical) of flow around structures, the latest measurement techniques employed to quantify flow -structure- river interactions, to the most recent developments in non-linear weirs and coastal structures, flow conveyance through stepped spillways, flip buckets, as well as approaches on plunge pools and hydraulic jumps. The collection of high quality manuscripts on different topics reconfirms the strong interest on hydraulic structures research, the new developments in the field, and the issues to be addressed in future research. All the accepted papers will be added to this online special collection. Readers are encouraged check back frequently to find more content added to this special collection.
