Laboratory and field testing, and numerical simulation are common and essential ways to disclose the mechanical behavior and deformation mechanism in Geomechanics. Recently, the experiment measures and computational methods have sprung up with the development of science and technology, such as the 3D printing and MRI technique, which can help researchers explore the truth from microcosmic to macrocosmic viewpoint and simulate the more actual environment and condition in geotechnical engineering by different dimensions. This special collection selects high-quality papers that cover a wide range of topics on the advanced experimental and numerical methods which lead to new results which can be validated. All papers published in this collection have undergone standard yet rigorous peer review and they will be a valuable reference for the discipline development of Geomenchanics and serve to the engineering projects. All the accepted papers will be added to this online special collection. Readers are encouraged check back frequently to find more content added to this special collection.
