Rocky Mountain Geo-Conference 2021

Abstract

    Proceedings of the Rocky Mountain Geo-Conference 2021, held in Westminster, Colorado, April 16, 2021. Sponsored by the Geo-Institute Chapter of the Colorado Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Mile High Chapter of the Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists, Colorado Association of Geotechnical Engineers, and the Geo-Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

    Geotechnical Practice Publication No. 13 contains 14 peer-reviewed papers on the complex geotechnical challenges in the Rocky Mountain region.

    Topics include: roadway embankment failure analyses and repair; analysis, design, and rehabilitation of an embankment dam; unique foundations and retaining structures; laboratory testing and modeling; field testing and investigation; tunneling; and local soil conditions.

    GPP 13 focuses on geotechnical practice and experience in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain west; however, it will be of interest to practitioners working in any similar geologic setting.
